What a delightful display of roses. A great place to have a leisurely stroll around, absorbing the various scents of hundreds of different roses. Afterwards have a relaxing lunch at the Begonia House Cafe which looks out over the rose garden.

Lovely collections of flowers and awesome cafe in the premises. A decent fountain. Good free parking for 2h.

A place where your senses are overly stimulated by colour and smell. Who would have thought that there were that many different types of roses. No, you aren't allowed to take cuttings but you may stand there and drool. Not a place for kids although if it's for a photo shoot it two, perfect. Would be a lovely go to and relax place, a must see...

Roses are in bloom and some starting their 2nd flowering. It's always pleasant to walk around there on the flat grassed paths separating the rose beds. Children were enjoying running around playing little games and providing entertainment for us older adults. The cafe closes quite early and once the kitchen is shut the main door is also shut and customers are told to enter via the side door by the toilets- very strange. Counter food is available though. We had an iced coffee each ,excellent, as well as a shortbread and plumthing with pcream - again excellent and unlike most Kiwi things, not too sweet. Absolutely worth visiting if you haven't been.

Beautiful and has so many kinds of roses, I really love the design of the garden! I have never seen so many kinds of roses before, not to mention black roses. These are very good places for children and family day out.

The best place to visit in Wellington! At first we almost gave up to walk down to Rose Garden from the top of Cable Car because of a challenging hike. Luckily we still visit here by driving our rental car! The environment and flowers here are wonderful! Cool air and nice flower smells, the inside with rainforest and water plants are even better, I have seen plants that only saw from the the textbook! There is a cafe right next to the garden, decent price, great for break after a long walk! In my opinion, it’s the best place to visit in Town. Highly recommended!
