Over priced and over cooked. We had what must be one of the worst fish and chip meals ever. Tasteless fish, badly overcooked chips, and far too expensive. Definitely won't go back there.
What a find. Highly recommend.This is not a run of the mill fish and chip shop. We chose to dine in. Ordered the fresh fish. my fish was in a tempura and coriander batter my husband pan fried terakihi cooked to perfection. We watched continuing stream of people coming in for there take out meals. Lots of wonderful choices wood loved to have tried a lot more.
Great selection of fish. Good for takeaway. They do delivery too. But limited seating, so not so suitable for long conversation over dinner.
Fantastic fish and chips! So many ways to customize a meal. In the end went with the lunch special and really enjoyed it! Will be back again!
Excellent choices for everything on the menu. A selection of fish varieties, cooking methods, chip cuts and side dishes. Good burgers and a special offering of soft shell crab the day that we visited. Plenty of seating options available other than peak times. Can get busy at prime time so I'd suggest using their online ordering for a head start. Chippery is my favourite fish and chip place in Wellington, no doubt! Great menu and service is superb. Great email promo deals for regulars. Thorndon is certainly the lesser of the two chippery locations, I often find something in my order is overcooked. The bun in my picture was very dry and unsavory, took away from the burger.
