Very impressed with the facilities at this hostel. Beautiful flower garden, roomy well-stocked kitchen, beautiful outdoor eating deck. Booked twin room, lovely, clean comfortable, extension cord for plugs. Would definitely stay again

This hostel was beautiful, everything was so well kept and clean and so many beautiful flowers around the property - I thought this was great. I booked a 3 bed female dorm and the extra touches of two pillows and a lamp and an extension cable at each bed was so helpful and practical. The only thing was there wasn't anywhere to hang my towel as the two hooks were taken by people's coats so perhaps more areas for this?. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped, there was an incredibly cosy feeling to the entire hostel with the big fires and comfortable chairs. I only wish I had stayed longer here. The cats and little dog around were really sweet too and some information about them in the foyer was helpful - it felt like being at home. You can tell the owners really put an effort into their property. Also free tea and coffee! :) fab.
Really good beds, nicely decorated, good facilities and a beautiful garden and friendly pets. I'd definitely stay here again.
Interesting and well kept hostel. Kitchen and gardens are clean and there are many areas if you are in need of some quiet. We had a private double with shared bathroom. The toilet and shower were just down the hall. Kitchen is well stocked including plates, cutlery pots pans. It was clean and guests treated it respectfully by cleaning and replacing items
I stayed in a suite and it is spacious and beautiful. The decors and facilities of the house is nice! I like it!
Loved it,definitely a great place to stay. Thank you Love from Aucklandanders
Nothing in particular wrong but definitely on the lower end of all places we stayed. Biggest asset is the old mansion look of the building from the outside. The rest felt rather like the attempt to facilitate as many people as possible in the entire complex (larger than it looks from the outside). The concept of management seems to be focused on practicality rather than hospitality. The later heavily influenced by the majority of German backpacker guests. Potentially that’s were the efficiency originates :) So if you need a mattress to sleep, a shower to rinse, a kitchen to prepare food, a bench to eat and as little communication/interaction as possible you will be satisfied. Attached only a selection of the dozens of posts you will find on every step you walk through the complex ;)
Dorm was clean and bed was lovely..bathroom nice and shower super!!!the place has got charm..the waving hand to start with when you enter tho the front door..
