Very peaceful location...nice accommodation, good for self catered stays if you just want to get away from it all A few kilometers of dirt road to get to, but so well worth the effort...recommend

Wonderful experience, best hospitality. Private, affordable & high standards in terms of accommodation. Not overcrowded. Peaceful and accessible to hikes beaches, views. Couldn't have asked for better.
Lovely retreat that gets you totally off the grid!
One of the most beautiful places to lodge at in that region. Enjoy the silence, the wilderness and the surprisingly vivid history of the area.
I turned up to take some photos and didn't really want to leave. Such a peaceful place away from the rest of the world. Definitely going back to stay in the near future. If you have booked to stay there my advice is enjoy the drive, its a beautiful drive from pakawau around the bays of the wanganui Inlet.
