Lovely spot on the wharf with a view of whale island. Lovely sea breeze. Very generous portions of food and a nice assortment of drinks. Tidy clean shop and the same with the outdoor seating area. The staff are professional and friendly and helped us with the best deal for our needs. Made our visit to Whakatane an even better experience before heading off back home to Te Puke.

We ordered a seafood platter and it didn't take long to arrive the batter on all of the deep fried items was lovely and light and crispy. The fish was fresh and tasty. I loved my hot potato chips, these ones were very tasty. There was a lovely choice of indoor or outdoor areas that we could sit. We chose to sit outside there was a bit of a breeze but the establishment has a number of things to cover you while you're eating.

Love the freshness of the fish we always drop in for a feed we from out of town and the fish burgers, chips and food cooked here is delicious I always ask for a runny egg on my fish burger lol definitely good size portions and reasonable prices.
Been here twice now and the old fella has forgotten to give me the other half of my order. Beautiful food just the service needs to be more on to it lol. No hard feelings :)
Really consistent business. Great seafood products. Fantastic fresh fish. Chips cooked exactly how I like them. And a clean toilet!
A bit pricey but the fish was so fresh and beautifully cooked. And the staff friendly which always makes it good
