Fantastic little gem, tucked away at the corner of the Strand. Their food is very authentic. I have never had a better red duck curry before!!! Would highly recommend giving it go. Their prices are reasonable and their service is very warm and friendly.

The food was very enjoyable. Surroundings pleasant. Busy but tables had enough space so one could have private conversation. Staff most helpful and cheerful. Impressed that they fitted us in. Certainly will return when back in Whakatane. Lovely addition to be given a small bosof chocolates as it was Valentines Day.
yet again, we had a wonderful meal at Global Thai.last night.Delicious and aromatic flavours, big portions and great service. Cannot fault it, and all at a very good price. Can't wait to go back, thank you for a great evening!

Friendly staff, nice size portions of food, food was delicious will definitely recommend if you have big eaters and are looking for value for money.
The waitress was pleasant. Management and kitchen staff let the team down. Chicken kebab entree was greasy. Satay sauce tasteless. In a party of 12 only 3 were satisfied with main meals. T bone steaks possibly the worst. They were thin and overcooked. We went elsewhere for dessert. There are better places to dine in Whakatane.
Very generous sized portions for dinner. Service is quick and friendly. Food was delicious. I had the duck red curry and hubby had yellow curry. Generous serving of meat in both dishes.
