Our trip to Whenuakura Island was the highlight of our weekend away. The island and lagoon are beautiful and Mauro was an awesome guide, he was very knowledgeable and patient and we had plenty of time at the island and in the lagoon and never felt rushed at all. I would definitely recommend this trip.

A few weeks ago I booked a tour to the island and it was just stunning Floating in a kayak inside an island and watching the clouds flying by Our tourguide explained us a lot about the island itself and other interesting facts. He was nearly as thrilled as we when we entered the island And it is a fantastic photo spot

Booked a kayak tour with wife and 7 year old to go to Donut Island, I was given great communication up to the tour and when checking in was advised of change in conditions and options for my 7yo. They quickly accessed that we had experience in kayaking before and that it would be safe to go. Tuhi our guide was awesome, some fantastic local knowledge and understanding of our capabilities, the sea had died down a little and meant that we could make it into the middle of donut island which was awesome. We then headed to another island for a quick rest and some local tea (my 7yo loved it). It was a great experience that I would recommend, if you are doing it with younger kids make sure you have some experience as it is tough to pilot a double kayak by yourself.
Great kayaking this morning. It's amazing to be able to kayak into Whenuakura Island. Our guide Francois was very helpful and knowledgeable. We also had a great chat with Mauro before our tour. Absolutely recommend surf's up for everyone visiting Whangamata!
Absolutely unimpressed with this company’s lack of communication. We were booked in for a 10:30 tour. We were running 10 mins late due to road works on the way and called an hour in advance to let them know to which they said was ok. However, once we drove 2 hours to get there, they told us the tour had left. They could’ve easily told us that we can book into the next tour on the phone but didn’t. Once we got there, we felt like their communication was still flakey. Wasted half a day due to this. Absolutely unimpressed. Wouldn’t recommend.
Was amazing. Felt safe the entire time. Thank you for helping me achieve my goal of SUPping out to the island. Thanks to our guide Johann very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend.
