A beautiful day fishing with Te Ra Charters. Our group caught so many different species of fish - gurnard, red cod, blue cod, teraki, red snapper, striped carp and john dory. Chris the skipper was really helpful, assisting when needed with our rods, rigs and information about the fishing area. Thanks for a great day Chris.

We went out on Te Ra charters today and had a great time. We left on time, the boat had plenty of rods and bait and for 60 it is great value (bait and rods cost extra but you can bring your own of both for no charge). We had some trouble finding the fish and only a couple of people out of 14 brought anything home at all, but hey that's fishing, better luck next time. This is sadly the only reason I couldn't give 5 stars! This is not the sort of charter where the skipper baits your hooks and takes your fish off, you are somewhat left to your own devices which for me is great - but if you get in a tangle he will come help if you ask him. He also guts/cleans your fish for you on the way home (but does not fillet so you have a whole fish). On the way home we spotted some dolphins near by, the skipper navigated near them and we had them swimming underneath the bow for about 20 minutes on the way home. An amazing finish to a fun day thanks.

I can understand that fishing is hard sometimes but bad fishing topped off with a skipper that has zero people skills makes for a below average day. Won't be wasting my money again and definitely would not recommend...
