Tired but Handy to town and has a restaurant with a good menu. Great business overnighter facility rather than a holiday or long stay place. Very friendly and helpful staff team.

This place was a shocker... nearly literally. Lights with exposed wiring, a heater that sounded like a small plane, another in the bedroom that cracked and creaked all night. Cleanliness was certainly average and the room (a family room) was a bit tired with a number of broken items and a musty smell. Well overdue a tidy up.
Very basic. Our family room was clean and serviceable. Pool was great and their hours are reasonable. Was great to be adjoined to the brewery next door, which did good food as well as good beer.
Reasonably priced accommodation a few blocks away from the centre of Whanganui. The decor is dated and looking pretty tired but the hotel rooms are large and clean. Free wifi. Lots of off-street parking. Helpful and friendly staff.
Was in need of an upgrade with stained carpets & shabby paintwork. It was really hot but they did not have AC , only provided a fan which only circulated warm air.
Had dinner there. Meal selection was great and the food was well presented. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and smiley to deal with. Restaurant wasn't open, so had our dinner in the bar. Craft beer variety was interesting and tasty. Other drinks selection was good too. Awesome!!
The room was nice, could do with a face-lift but was ok for a couple of nights. Very disappointed with the front staff...could not be bothered to greet, smile etc just told us our room number and asked for credit card..very rude! everytime we dealt with the front desk it was like we should not have bothered! I would not go back for that reason.. another couple we talked to staying there said the same.
Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The restaurant serves great food and they brew great beer. But the layout is pretty strange. Like it was set out by a 70s architect on lsd
