Excellent hospital with a wide range of services provided. The outpatient department is very good with helpful and friendly staff and doesn't take too long for an appointment. Accident and medical is great with knowledgeable doctors and nurses and friendly reception staff.

Mum had surgery yesterday and we were so impressed with the great service she received from reception to nursing staff and the explanations about her anasetic to surgery procedures. 100% satisfied. Thank you for your care and empathy. A great experience!

Went in to get my wound dressed. The nurse cleaned it with iodine and placed a dry badge three hours later my wound on my leg was so painful I had to take it off which was so painful. Because it was dry and infection and set in. Poor wound management and im in a great deal of pain and suffered trauma. I will never return! It's true what people say not many good medical professionals around and Nurses are the worst nowadays.

Really poor attitude from the nurses and lack of care. Poorly dressed my partners wound and badly infected her leg. It should be free to go there or even shut down.

I was disgusted with the treatment I recieved at Whanganui After Hours clinic. Turned up with Sob and cough. There were no masks avaliable for patients. The Dr who saw me did a very cursory examination and told me that I didn't walk like I had any trouble breathing and that had nothing wrong with me. I had driven 40 km to get there. Had to wait till got pH consultation with own my GP 3 days later to get treatment. Absolutely disgusted!!

Great staff when I went in to have my second child recently. We were only in the hospital for approx 8 hours and it was during the night shift hours but the staff (as well as my midwife) where incredible, made sure both my partner and I had food and drinks etc, friendly as anything. And the room was very clean, comfortable and well prepared. They made our experience pleasant and calm.... Considering what we were there for!

Amazing experience. Easy access off,-street parking (free parking). Well signposted access to hospital's main entrance. Although the outside views of the facility show efforts have been the upgrade the look and feel of visitor arrival - this belies the enhanced finishing and amenities upon entry to the premises (and further). Art-lined corridors amazed me. Iconic Whanganui images adorn the facility beautifully. The cafe just inside the main entrance is worth a visit - nice ambience. Main reception team low key, efficient, helpful and professional. Ward staff equally astute, friendly and professional.
