Very busy on the night we visited, took exactly an hour after ordering for food to arrive. Food was really good once it arrived. Portions extremely generous. However not a place that was easy to relax and enjoy as the busyness and layout meant it was very loud and not possible to hear your partner talk without shouting. Maybe more enjoyable on a quieter day/time.

I went and tried Lone Star from reviews uploaded... I loved the food and the place in general but... My food took almost an hour to be brought out and my drinks got brought to me 10 minutes before my order actually came to my table. The 2 ladies that took my order, gave It through to the kitchen and started playing with each others hair right next to tables (2 tables in front of me). Great food, lovely choice of food on the menu. Slow service, very loud music especially for elderly who may come and go or anyone in general who just wants to sit and eat in a relaxing way and slack workers.
We went for dinner here last night. We had a reservation for 7:30pm and was seated within 1min of us arriving. The atmosphere was lovely. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Our food was AMAZING and would 100% reccomend to our friends and family to come in and check it out. The price was perfect and the portions were huge. We left feeling so full and satisfied. Can't wait to come back again.
Went to dinner here the other night. Our waitress Carla was amazing, Greeted us with a smile and catered to all our wants, even a personal thank you when leaving. Delicious meals and worth the price. Thanks so much Lone Star

Finally a Lone Star in Whangarei! What a fantastic night it was tonight. A few minor hiccups which you can’t fault due to the second night. Service amazing, food mouthwatering. Music so good (any place that plays a bit of Cliff Richard is instantly good). Well done to all of the crew and to whoever managed to bring it back here you fantastic!
