I love staying at thus campground. Staff are amazing and really friendly. They run a bus to the Coroglen Tavern for concerts which us a great way to start your evening. Great vibes. There is now a coffee van on site which has divine coffee and yummy bacon and egg muffins. Perfect for the "day after" food. River is nice to swim in and sit and chill at.

Nice, clean camping ground. I had a tent and a great spot with some shade from a small forrest which you can walk through a few different paths to the river in about 30seconds. Swimming hole is huge and very nice to swim in, surprisingly not freezing. Dog friendly. Friendly, helpful staff. Wi-Fi provided 500MB per day but both phone and internet reception is patchy. Kitchen is a little sparse with just one electric jug and 1 fridge freezer. There are lots of picnic tables scattered around camping ground and a covered veranda area with tables too. There is a lounge with tv, DVDs and lots of books. Quite a few options for day trips from this site. Whitianga and a few beaches within 20 min drive. I was there for 3 nights and would stay again.

Perfect place for camping, all facilities available. Only cons is that you have to pay 2 extra for hot water shower, even though you already paid 20 for the night.

Awesome dog friendly camp ground with best swimming holes for all ages! All facilities provided. 2 for hot shower but in summer who needs a hot shower? Large camp ground with plenty of spots for powered and non powered sites. The river is amazing . No need to go to any of the beaches within 30mins of driving range. There is also a waterfall near the one way bridge near the camp. Coroglen Tavern is 5-7 mins drive from the camp and Whitiaga is approximately 20-30mins. Note: Only Vodafone Internet worked for us. We also had Spark/2degrees mobile phones which had no coverage. Highly recommended. Will visit again.

This is a great place to stay theres a swimming hole which is gorgeous the host makes sure there are sectioned off areas for noisey people and a family area etc. Yes there r bugs but seriously pay attention it's by a river! Bring bug spray if they bite you. I've been staying there every year for about 5 years over xmas To new years period yes the crowds get a bit rowdy when they have concerts on up the road however the hosts get security on for it so good on them! They clean the facilities regularly but u gotta understand they cant stand at the door and wipe everyones feet for them. I wholeheartedly recommend!!!
