Flying visit but lovely beach. Maybe not great for young kids swimming, looks like it gets deep quickly. But a beautiful place!
Absolutely stunning beach walks on both ends that lead to magical places. Surrounded by a small community that swells to just over 1000 in the summer months, a small dairy that also serves takeaways throughout the day and evening with a beautiful range of food with unique kiwi names that just show how down to earth this small community is. I have been visiting this place for the best part of 15 years and it never gets old.
A great place for a break away from the rat race. You will need to book through bachcare
Beautiful place, very small town. Great place to take the family for the day. The whiritoa lagoon is a popular spot for the kids. There is only one shop in the town that makes great fish and Chips.
Whiritoa beach is stunning. 1.5Km of golden sand beach and a lovely small community feel. Lifeguards on duty. Swimming is great. Enjoy the quiet relaxing surrounds. Only about 15 mins by car to Whangamata or Waihi.
Most beautiful beach in the world!
