There probably isn't a more relaxing way to see Cathedral Cove and the coastline out from Whitianga. Mat and his crew are great fun and the trip was really enjoyable. From booking, to getting us on and off the boat, to chatting about the local area, everything was super easy. The fruit platters were delicious and the locally brewed beer was very easy drinking. We swam with fish in the marine reserve and could not have felt more relaxed at the end of the day. Highly recommend these guys.

One of the best things you could do in Coromandel. Mat and the crew provided an awesome experience and made this day unforgettable. We enjoyed sailing on this catamaran and 100% recommend this to anyone who wants to do a sailing adventure in Mercury Bay.

An absolutely amazing experience with Boom Sailing. Our captain and host Mat was super knowledgeable and hospitable. He promised us dolphins and sunshine at 4pm and delivered on both at 4.15pm! Moments I will never forget. The catamaran means sailing is so smooth (so no sea sickness - YAY) and there is no better coastline than the Coromandel to cruise along. I would do this every day if I could.

Relaxed, friendly and exceptional sailing trip in the Coromandel around the bays to Cathedral Cove and then Gemstone Bay to snorkel. Jordie, Sam and Florian made us feel very welcome and got our boys involved in steering and help hoist the main sail and jib. We were exceptionally fortunate that there was just us four so it was like our own private charter. This has been the highlight of our trip to the Coromandel and we will be back for sure! Thanks!

We had the absolute best time and cannot recommend this trip enough. It’s so relaxing being on the water with no engine noise. The crew are so friendly, relaxed and made for a great time. Beer and wine is available on the afternoon cruise making it even more fun!

A leisurely sail as advertised. The owner meet us on the beach where the 12 of us went by dinghy in two shifts to the (former racing) catamaran. We sailed to Cathedral Cove, slowing as we got there to view the activity there, and we anchored in a nearby bay for about 15 minutes to swim/snorkel in the "refreshing" waters. In general we were comfortable on the boat on bean bags / sitting on the hull, were offered beverages & a few snacks, and were assured there was a marine toilet on board although we didn't try it. The sail took over three hours on a lovely summer's day. The owner Matt assured me he preferred to be called Steve.
