Arrived to see live band. Floors were so sticky my partners jandal broke. Had calamari and nachos. Calamari was good value but the nachos had hardly any meat! Such a shame cause it tasted yum. Looked like some of the staff were being yelled at by manager or owners. But staff were really nice. Few people got absolutely smashed though and they kept serving them and allowing them to stay on.
We went to this hotel with The Beach Hop on Thursday 26th November 2020. Now everyone knew we were coming. Worst service ever. Totally under staffed and after 2 hours of waiting for 2 bowls to chips we demanded our money back along with lots of other people. The poor chef was run off his feet. Won't be going there in March 2021
Great atmosphere to watch the rugby today
Awesome place
After a nice night out for dinner next door at Salt restaurant our group of 4 decided to head to the Whitianga hotel for a quiet drink. Having had two wines with our dinner we were surprised to have the bouncer at Whitianga hotel refuse us entry for having ‘too much to drink’. Given we had only had 2 drinks all night when we asked why he felt we were unable to enter the hotel he mentioned the way in which my sister was going walking. My sister has a slight disability and therefore walks with a limp, however when we tried to explain this to the bouncer we were brushed off. Not only is this discrimination but a disgusting display of customer service. I would not recommend this place at all!
Awesome Pork belly feed
First time visit. Came in for a quiet one. The bar staff were a delight. Taken there by a local, watched the rugby and later back for dinner was very nice. Will be back most definitely.
