Yes HUHA do wonderful things looking after animals. We have adopted a beautiful dog and had him for a good 12 months now. We have done everything they have ask for by giving the dog a lovely home plus more. However be very careful if you dog has behavioural problems as they are very loss when it comes to the part in the contact they give you that says "We provide behavioural and training advice and assistance for the lifetime of the animal. They do not do good on this even if you cry out for help a good 3 times.
About 10 years ago, I got a four year old beagle called Ivy from HUHA in Otaki. She's the beagle on the left of the first picture when you go onto HUHA's website. She was the best thing that ever happened to my family. I was about 6 when we got her. She was the most loving, personality filled, sweetest dog that will ever roam this planet. She was afraid of balloons and bright orange jackets. She would always jump up onto the couch when you weren't looking. She once took my brothers birthday cake out of the cupboard and attempted to eat it. She was the most gorgeous dog inside and out and i am so, so grateful that we decided to make a trip to HUHA that day. The amount of happiness she brought me and how much she meant to me, I can't even put into words. Thankyou.
Very helpful and caring to take on the stray cat family I caught, even though they were full at the time
A charity that does good to the world, something the world needs. I love the workers, the people, the dogs, the horses! EVERYTHING and EVERYONE.
