I was allowed to book a single person kayak but ended up being told later that they can’t cater for it (there is no mention of such on the website). Communication was very poor during the whole process and virtually non existent when it comes to getting a refund. Luckily my bank was very helpful in assisting me with the refunds. Avoid at all cost, there are far better companies around that can help you with your Whanganui journey.

Stayed here the night before Riding the 42nd traverse at short notice with my son. Staff very friendly and helpful, had a nice bar meal and a couple of beers , booked the shuttle and a cooked breakfast for the following morning. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

A review that’s been a long time coming – but that’s only because we had such an awesome time, that I couldn’t concentrate on writing! I think it helped that these guys are genuine locals who know their stuff and provide you with all the information you need to know, right from the safety briefing, to local history and how to handle the rapids!!! The real buzz for us was knowing that we were seeing parts of the country that you’re not going to get to see unless you are on the Whanganui River. There were three of us in the canoe with plenty of gear and while we started of with some anxiety, that soon passed, there’s too much to see and enjoy! Just remember to listen to the locals, be prepared for changing conditions and enjoy yourselves. Grant and co are fantastic people, encouraging and accommodating. Totally worth it!

Place had a friendly atmosphere. But the facilities weren't up to scratch any any price. Sorry didn't stay the second night.

A group of 5 we did the 42 Traverse, The accomodation is basic but perfectly suited to our needs and found the hospitality amazing. So friendly, thoughtful and helpful were Grant and Pat I hope we can come again next time we are on our adventures.

We definitely did not get the experience we paid for. Were given no safety advice, very brief briefing and when we had an accident were not allowed to proceed with our trip. I would be wary of using this company, would not reccomend to anyone.

Was like camping styles, nothing fancy, stayed 2 nights while doing Tongorio crossing. Food was good and Staff were friendly. Real laid back styles

Well what an experience.... awesome. Grant and the team are fantastic. Time to slow down, no stress, like stepping back in time, good kiwi way. We walked the Tongariro crossing and stayed 2 nights (group of four), transported there and back, very hospitable and friendly locals all part of the team. Highly recommended for a Kiwi experience, great bar meals, cooked breakfast and a cold beer (or KGB if thats your thing) to finish the journey.
