Kevin was very welcoming, the place is great and cheap ! Shower is 6min with a 2 coin, which is good to know before going. Only one shower and fridge a little small i would say but i definitely would come back again if i come back to this area. A tap with drinkable water is located just outside the office. Wayyyy better value for money than any doc sites, sometimes i don’t understand people commenting. Kevin even gave us three cold beers which were highly appreciated on this really hot day, and offered us to do woofing here. I highly recommend this place !

We really enjoyed our stay at Hillview. There is ample space for many cars to stay. It’s open to self contained and non-self contained vehicles. The kitchen and common area is nice with big tables for lots of people. The bathrooms are clean and work well. The views are amazing with big rolling hills and sheep surrounding you. Very well situated close to Slope Point.

Amazing place. We stayed with our self contained van some time ago but it was so nice I need to write a proper review. The owner is a very friendly, chatty guy who really wants to make your stay better. He made pizzas for us and let us feed his animals. It was a good moment from our stay in the Catlins, especially that we were almost alone there! Definitely recommended, at least to lie down on a grass, relax and take a hot shower during your trip. All the best from Poland and Belgium!

Seriously this is one of a campsite that we really loved! Why? Because we woke up with a pink sky and it was enchanting! Look at the no-filter picture we took and you will understand. Paid NZ10 per pax for a non-powered site. There is hot shower available. Facilities is ok but the morning view was unforgetable! #J2ACE

Cheapest place to stay in the area! Its beautiful and peaceful! The cabins were super warm and clean and the showers were great! The owner was amazing! He was super friendly and made you feel right at home! There are dinner available to order, i had a pizza which was loaded with toppings and really filling! I will be back! For the chats with the owner and a peaceful night for a great price.

Awesome campsite, the owner is super friendly and makes you feel at home. Shower is clean hot and powerful for only 2 for 5 minutes. Campsite itself is peaceful in the green hills with a couple of gravel parking sites for larger campers. Wifi was fast and didn't drop out at all, even better it is completely free.

Absolutely beautiful view from the bed in the morning in the new ensuited cabin! Kevin is a wonderful host and offers so much. Thank you for an incredible stay. It is simple but completely ample for what we wanted.
