Albert Town, New Zealand

Brilliant as long as you don't mind basic amenities, long drop and portable toilets but tons of space. Walking and riding trails abound

A very nice hidden camp ground near the river, far from the road. At the main road there's a sign to the main camp, you can turn to this one is exactly across that road, then continue less than 1 km along the Rodeo. There's much more space and it's a bit cheaper (7 / night, compared to 10). On the other hand there are only two dry toilets, compared to three WC and a sink with water tap. We've been camping here almost every night for around two weeks and it's one of the best camps we found so far. During heavier winds be careful about the big pine trees, we saw big branch falling on a tent (nobody got hurt fortunately). It's a favorite habitat also for a lot of rabbits.
Love this campsite
Great place to stay
Great way to meet travelers neet little community just out of wanaka past the bridge
Look out for the homeless people living n the trees dont feed them whateva u do or they never go away
A nice peaceful place to relax .
Love this place but becoming increasingly hard to find a spot due to locals setting up for 6 weeks while renting their houses out for summer & tourists being here for long periods also-average kiwis losing their 2 weeks away
