A very picturesque walk and nice to get away from the noise at the gondola. Take water with you as there is nothing up here at all, on a hot day, ensure cover of your skin is possible as it gets very very hot walking up here.

End of th public road, but no view. Perhaps as per Te Mata Peak in Hawkes Bay there is a viewing point up on th mountain somewhere which would b great for visitors n locals alike.
