Have interacted with this company a number of times over the past couple of years and every job has had some sort of issue. First and foremost, communication is average and they often seem to lack interest. One of the 3 or 4 onsite techs I've dealt with was awesome, super friendly and helpful. The rest were ...not.

I am rating 1 star because I cannot rate none. Aotea Electric removed 2 boundary pegs when installing temporary power on the sections either side of my own. Approximately 1,500 damage my time. When this was brought to the attention of Management the response was 'we don't want to know'. Gross stupidity combined with nefarious criminal property damage.

Engaged Aotea Electric again after their excellent outing last time. Needed my outdoor security light refixing and rewiring after it came off the wall. Again, excellent service. Good communication and great job done by their electrician, Alistair. Will continue to use and recommend. Thanks. Very helpful and accommodating over the busy xmas/new year period to fix our oven. Charged over 100% markup on materials. Many hidden extra costs. Very over priced. The item they installed cost 88 at Mitre 10 but they charged about 160 for it (I was not given the option to buy my own and get them to install, but having to pay them to come back at their excessive rates it probably would have worked out the same). I gave these guys a shot to see if they would be ok to use in the future but now I have to keep looking for a decent affordable electrician.
