Our "ladies lunching"party of four came into Formosa unsure of how to tackle the wide ranging menu. We soon had the very knowledgeable and helpful waitress, and then the very attentive chef, help us tailor an exquisite, fresh , flavourful shared meal by combining several dishes, as is often Asian tradition. Such friendly, happy staff looking after us, and lots of laughs too And dessert? Oh WOW! Absolutely Fabulous! Thank you Formosa!

Food is beautifully presented and well made. Staff were friendly and courteous. The food was prepared in a very respectable time frame given the care and attention to detail in the presentation. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and had a big ramp leading to the dinning floor that looked to make it accessible for both prams and wheel chairs. Definitely somewhere I will revisit and recommend onto others.
The best dining experience I have had in the entire South Island! The wait staff are friendly and attentive, like you would expect in a 5star establishment. The food was incredible, lots of flavour and well presented. The desserts are all made on site and are delicious. I will be back! I think I will even drive the 3 hour trip just for dinner!

Had dinner here last night. Amazing and friendly staffs. The foods are delicious. Right serving amount for your money. The entrance door looks a bit boring but ince you open it you can see the beauty of the place. Lightings are nice makes the place more romantic. I definitely recomend this place to everyone.
This restaurant has the best food i have experienced in years! I visited while traveling to Christchurch. The service from the friendly staff was outstanding and the food delicious. The price was exceptionally reasonable. Will be back!
