Dell G5 gaming laptops have long been known as a budget alternative to the Dell’s Alienware product range. Although the PC’s aren’t of the same level of Alienware, they do have the capability to play the top end games well.
The G5 is a 15.6 inch laptop which starts at around $1800 and is very similar to the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming laptop. They share all the same specs except the Dell G5 has an 8th generation Intel Processor and comes with the option of a 4K Ultra HD resolution display.
The Dell G5 is a great option if you’re looking for a good gaming laptop but there are a number of laptops that are fighting for this space including offerings from Lenovo and Acer.
As with most PC’s, most of the cost with the build is the processor and graphics cards, so if you intend to choose a higher option of either of these components when building your Dell G5, you will find that the cost may rise significantly. To keep the cost of the G5 down, you will find that the build quality of this laptop isn’t as high end as other laptops. There are parts of the laptop such as the keyboard and touch pad which aren’t as high spec as other laptops.
The laptop has a nice IPS screen and many ports available for you to connect your devices to. Performance of the unit is great with the Intel processor and Nividia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Battery life is around 6 hours and if you’re intent on serious gaming, you’ll need to carry the power supply.
The Dell G5 is a good option if you’re looking for a budget gaming laptop. Get a excellent deal on Dell G5’s with a Dell coupon when you purchase. Posted by : admin April 21, 2019 Technology Online tax not deterring New Zealanders
In a trend that seems to be sweeping the world, governments are starting to crack down on customers ordering online and avoiding GST (Goods and Sales tax). Ordering online has given overseas stores a competitive advantage by not requiring customers from other countries paying GST. Australia and New Zealand have both cracked down on this and have started collecting GST for purchases sent to their countries.
In New Zealand, the laws came into effect on October the 1st. When announced, many New Zealanders were not overly concerned with the GST application to overseas sales which applies to goods that are under $1000. Previously sales under $1000 were tax free. Overseas retailers will now be required to collect GST if they sell over $60,000 worth of goods to New Zealanders.
Despite goods costing an extra 15% more for New Zealanders, there is very little expectation that this will slow the online shopping trend from overseas where options are prices are generally better. Most New Zealanders shop online due to the convenience factor as well as available options and ofcourse, the price.
It is expected to be more of a headache for overseas retailers who not only need to collect the GST amount, they will probably need to drop their prices to stay competitive versus buying locally. Many will continue to shop locally at popular online stores like Onceit and Mighty Ape. Onceit is great value for money according to consumers and with a Onceit promo code, customers save even more. One of the strange things about the Apple iPhone 5 at the time it was released was the fact that it did not have an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip.
Many keen observers noticed that the iPhone 5 had a metal back. This metal back likely meant that the device was incapable of NFC. There was also very little room at the top and bottom which meant that you could rule out the device having an NFC chip.
Many have declared that Apple do not believe the market is ready for an NFC chip and therefore decided to leave it out. Others had speculated that the cost of iPhone 5 plans has meant that the viability of including the chip was diminished.
At the time analysts predicted that Apple were working on their own payment system and therefore do not want or need the NFC solution. Turns out that Apple did invent their own solution called Apple Pay. Apple pay has been touted as a payment solution that allows an easy secure way to pay through the iPhone, iPad, Watch and Mac. All you need to get started with it is a compatible device, an Apple ID and a valid card that supports it. To use Apple pay in a store, you just need to make sure the store is capable of it with a Apple Pay logo at the payment terminal.
Use a Telstra coupon and get a phone plan from Telstra for a phone which meets the requirements of Apple Pay to get started today. Posted by : admin February 19, 2019 Technology
