Great service, easy to buy and sell back a few months later. Also super friendly.

Would just like to thank Shane at this yard as he went beyond to help us out with a new tyre that had to be replaced. All vehicles are at competitive prices and staff helpful. Thanks

Deserving of one of the best Google star ratings for an Auckland car yard. The car we bought was at a very fair market price (actually the cheapest based on my market research). Additionally, the payment of two minor repairs was not contested. Further, he was happy for the repairs to take place all the way down in Queenstown (where the car was at the time). Good onya mate.

Honest secondhand car dealers do exist, and Shane is one of them. A pleasure to do business with. We love the Nissan Caravan we bought from him. Would recommend to anybody looking to buy a vehicle in the Auckland area.

We purchased a quality camper van for a very reasonable price thanks to Shane! He helped us with a few different things about the car after buying with no hesitation at all. Really great guy and honest prices. We are very satisfied with the van we purchased and were pleased to do business with Shane!

Good van at first sight. Shane will handle all the invoices of the repairs he did and explain them to you, his mother will kindly drive you from your hostel to their business. But do not get fooled and do not take your decision too quickly here. We bought a Nissan Caravan to Shane, and drove 5 months and 11,000 km with it. We got no problems, only the brakes to be changed after 3 months. We thought we did the good investment, until we decided to resell the van to other backpackers. Quite confident, we agreed to submit our van to a pre-purchase inspection: 11 « weak » elements were revealed, 6 of them would fail the WOF. The estimated cost of repairs was NZ3000. More than surprised, we understood that the van was a rusty broken car that had just been repainted. We checked the invoices handled by Shane in the first place, with caution this time, and noticed how low the costs of repairs were. He just sends all of his vehicles in one of his friends’ mechanics, who passes the WOF for these antiquities. We went back to Auckland Budget Cars, showed our pre-inspection paper to Shane and he had the arrogance to ask me to show him were the damages under the car were... while the van was just parked on the ground. He added that none of the repair listed on the inspection was justified. To finish, the « insurance » included in the price of the van is just another scam: we tried to call it several times, but never got an answer. Easily avoid big problems during your stay in NZ: DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE AT AUCKLAND BUDGET CARS. And if you still want to buy a vehicule to Shane: make sure to do a pre-purchase inspection in a real mechanics like VTNZ and not one recommanded by Shane!

I purchased a 2008 A4 3.2 Audi Avant from Shane late last year. My review is purposefully late because I like to give my run with the car about 3 months before writing a review. Shane receives 5 stars from me for his honesty and work ethic around the car I wanted to purchase. initially there were some problems with the vehicle which Shane rectified swiftly, shortly after purchasing it another problem. which again, Shane was more than happy to fix. since then I have had an amazing time with the vehicle and have enjoyed driving the head turner around!
