I was very unpleased with dentist for the way the my son got treated last Friday, at otahuhu primary dental. I wish to make a complain, but finding hard where I can do that. My son was also not pleased with that as well. We felt rushed and not important and got a remarked made to my son, stating if he won't keep pushing his loose tooth with his tongue, that means he has to come for his every teeth. Hello, I mean thats why you are there for, if children won't come, then who will? And if they won't come, then whats the point of them been there....

A patronising and inefficient service for free. You will end up having to send your child to an expensive orthodontist later on because they cannot deal with many average preventative cases early on. They should really be called an emergency only service. If your child ends up having one filling they treat you like a criminal parent..... make sure you list out your child’s diet and take in the toothpaste they use ... they won’t believe you. If you child leaves traumatised by the inexperienced employee unable to discern discomfort they are causing during a simple exam, don’t make an official complaint as you will be treated like a criminal. They take no responsibility and should refer to better practices at their expense.
Would have rated lower.... Not a single dentist open for kids in the 10 different numbers called. Closed 23rd to 05th jan. No emergency option no service at all!!!! This includes Greenlane hospital, their solution is to call healthline.
Really good service. The staff are nice and helpful. My kids are registered with this free service.
My daughter had her wisdom tooth removed today from ARDS on Buckland Road, Mangere. The dentist was arrogant unsympathetic impatient and non professional. Her airways was blocked once he administered the anesthetic on both ends of her tooth, she believed one was sufficient and when the second one was given caused her airways to block momentarily. She couldn't breathe but she didn't tell him afraid he would get annoyed so she just hoped that she was going to make it through. Furthermore when she questioned his confidence he became evasive and threatened she would have to wait for three months before they would make another appointment for her so she just took it on the chin. I was out in the waiting area while this was happening and I wish I had of gone in with her because she didn't reveal it me until we were half way home I turned the car around to go and confront him but she said it was okay. If going to this particular clinic take your mum or dad in with you just in case. I give one star for the cost!
