Beautiful little pool/falls behind massive boulders. A bit challenging to get over the rocks but not impossible. Highly recommend this walk.

A nice Monday 16 January 2017 visit here. Tranquil park, great for one day picnics and must do the easy Auckland City Wal (1 hour, 1.5km) to see old large Kauri, abundant bird life, a delightful stream and a short side track to a towering george where the Cascade Falls can be heard (you will need good rock climbing shoes). Also heaps of tracks to walk/tramp. I did some of the Upper Kauri, Cascade, Fence Line, Waitakere Dam, West Tunnel Mouth, Waitakere Tram line, Anderson & Whatitiri Tracks.
just stopped over on scenic cruise good place too park an have a rest/stretch on a long drive
The car park is almost a destination in its own right! A lovely undulating green grassy area with picnic tables strategically spread around the place, perfect for a picnic with awesome views over the bush.
Not a bad forest walk. Easy walk through kauri trees and over streams. Have a go!!
Well sign posted and maintained. There are two carparks, picnic sites and decontamination stations for the prevention of Kauri dieback.
A great starting point for a number of excellent tramps
