A little different with other hotpot place we visited, we usually order what we want and they bring to us but it’s ‘you take what you want’ at Four Seasons hotpot. Not much choices and it wasn’t cheap too. We had three delicacy soup and tomato soup and both were quite bland. Total bill was 100 without any drinks but we were still very hungry. Nice hot pot but not really my thing
My favourite hotpot in New Zealand for its cleanliness, great service, friendly staff and delicious flavour and fresh produce!! For hotpot of this quality I don’t think it’s excessively expensive (110 for two people with drinks). I love this better than buffet style because they don’t skimp on the quality of produce. Also you pay for what you see. The concept is you order the soup base flavour and then go grab all the food in coloured containers yourself. Cook the food in front of you fondue style and when you’re finished they count your coloured containers (like at sushi train). Must try: half chilli butter soup base and half tomato soup base (Veges taste soooo good in the tomato soup) Bonus: they have free off street parking around the rear, entrance is to the left of the shopfront.
A few parking at the back hotpot plenty of options for food, nice and clean place. Expensive.
Some say this is not the best hotpot place in Auckland, but I disagree.
Honestly, this hot pot restaurant has the worst service imaginable. It's extremely expensive and super oily. Prepare to have a ratio of 60:40 oil to soup, plus when we went to pay the cashier straight up had a tantrum at us for paying cash?? Getting angry and telling us in mandarin ''why didn't we tell her sooner, we messed up her whole system?'' Excuse me - what, Do you want my money or not....... anyways, you have been warned, this place will have their oily as staff yell at you while charging you 50 pp.
Food is okay with limited selection and it is very very expensive compared to what you pay for. The worse part is customer service is poor and appalling!! Really not recommended if you are looking for hot pot place as you might just go to buffet hot pot is better option or there are some nearby and cheaper with better customer service and way too cheap!!
Small portion and overpriced which cost us more than 50/pp. This price can have decent hot pot in other restaurants. The soup base tasted just like MSG with water. Wouldn’t come here again...
