I had really interesting experience with a reception lady today. The lady who has very short hair asked me to pay upfront and said it’s a new policy for “casual patients” as she kept referring to me for several times. After my payment, the reception lady with really short hair sent me to the waiting room and forgot to let the doctor know. So both the doctor and me have been waiting nicely for each other for a good 10 minutes. How interesting! I have been coming to Greenwood for over one year now and never had such interesting experience.

The sole reason I left this practise was because of the nurse who’s name starts with K. We all know that name. She pronounces it differently and will correct you rudely as if we should all know she’s the only person who pronounces her name differently. She told me she didn’t agree with the doctors opinion and prognosis. Basically told me I need to lose weight or I’ll get every disease under the sun. Even though I told her my doctor and I had a plan. Totally and completely outrageous. My doctor however was amazing and if he ever left there I would follow him. Nurse K needs a course in how to talk to people, and, dare I say, know her place.

My son and partner are registered at Greenwood and I go to a different clinic. However, when my son and I were not feeling well and we thought we'll both have a Covid test at Greenwood. They accommodated me even if I am a non-registered patient. Communication with reception was clear and friendly. And the doctor called soon after to ask a few questions about our possible exposure to Covid (e.g. contact with known cases, etc). He also told us that we needed to isolate after the test. He was very detailed and thorough and also friendly. We got the test and we met the doctor personally and he was even more friendly in person. I was impressed. I'm glad my son is enrolled at this clinic. The doctor's name is Scott.

Dr Allison Shaw is just incredible. My ageing mother moved to Auckland earlier this year and we had the fortune to find Dr Allison. The care has been amazing - genuine interest and follow-up and feel really comfortable she is in safe hands. .

My GP is Dr Scott McLaren. We live in Ardmore now, but I won't change my GP...because he is freaking best. Very experienced and extremely caring with best class customer service. I could give more stars if possible. Highly recommend the medical centre.
