I phone them up and they say you can get us to call you back. They called me back an hour later and I'm on hold, 20 mins so far .... huh?

Hey guys. Don't you think you guys need a well-organized queueing system? I waited for almost half an hour to get a form for tax refund and another half an hour to get informed of what to do next. The old man was kind but he said that he would call me in a few minutes when he gave me a form. And then what? He seemed to totally forget me being waiting for his call. While he was receiving another new comer, I was waiting... I am pretty sure it is not only me that don't know what to do when they enter the building.

Absolutely hopeless. Cannot speak with anyone. You load in the business IRD number, then my own personal IRD number then date of birth security questions, then all of a sudden... "sorry we are all too busy"... then they hang up!. No "leave a message" or "schedule a callback". They just hang up on you. Tried several times over the following hours with the same results. Too busy to talk but no too busy to slap on an unwarranted "late payment penalty". My one-star rating is too generous. Their "It's our job to be fair" is complete BS. I believe they may all be illegitimate.

We called to see if we verify my identification over the phone (we can't which is understandable), but the guy on the phone sent us to a AA that couldn't verify my identity because it was a car repair AA and he told us it would take 2 hours to get my IRD. Yet 2 days days later haven't got it, so I rung and up and it takes 5-10 working days. Which means I won't be able to work for another 2 or 3 weeks!!! I am sorry, but how can you get it so wrong!!!!!

Ird have the wrong id numbers for both me and my husband. Suggested I pay by either card or by using ird bank account number. The paying by card department was out of order. Tried doing electronic transfer by bank account using the ird bank account number. Bank put up a red triangle saying pay ird. No luck that way. Also suggested i went to bank westpac. Are they open under level 3.!!. I aso have a broken leg and my husband very wobbly with Parkinson's. Rang ANZ. They were very helpful and did the transfers for me.

We called the tax bureau, saying that we need help with our tax number, the tax number we applied for on October 1st. Not only did not progress, but on the phone attitude is very bad. We are all college students, we just want to have a legal tax number and go to work. Did we do it wrong?
