My own experience of this company is mixed, this review is based on ours, and (what I witnessed at) my neighbours home. The admin (and first point of contact) are amazing, friendly, efficient. This is why I decided to go with this company. The actual technicians really let this company down. My experience: I initially called to get a quote for a couple of different options. The first person to come to our home appeared to be annoyed at the need to be there - he was vague, his manner didn't fill us with confidence. We did decide to still use them, but not to get a full new system (replacement for sensors, full check of current system). Next technician was efficient and friendly - did the work, happy with this. Neighbour (what I viewed): I recommended Kiwi alarms to my neighbour, as they were having problems with their current system. They got them in, and had a new system installed (all paid upfront). They experienced a fault where the alarm did not turn off. When checking in with them to see if they were ok (alarm going off), they mentioned that they could not deactivate it. After trying a number of things, I suggested to contact the company to get assistance (a brand new alarm, installed a few days before - surely there would be help, even if it was the weekend). The response was that they were not on the list, so could not be helped (they were not on the monitored alarm list, which appears to be what they were referring to). They were then directed to call the person who installed the alarm, who's number should be on the invoice - there was no cell number. Someone managed to disconnect the alarm, the following week day - someone came to check alarm, though I'm unsure if they were charged a call out for this also. The combined experience of my, and what I saw my neighbour to have - is the reason for my low star rating review. I have previously recommended this company to other people, but I would not be confident to do this again.

The HikVision product is great. Initial contact with Kiwi Alarms was good. The technician came across grumpy, that's fine - the product is good. One of the main reasons I purchased the system was to view remotely from my phone. The technician set this up but unless you have a static IP it needs setting up a again. It's been bloody hard to get helpful guidance from the company post sale. Yes they called me and sent me some bullet points but it doesn't make sense (I understand digital stuff but this is next level). Whenever I contact them I end up with Mr grumpy, now there's no reply. I've ended up contacting another HikVision installer to pay them for help. Three star based on after sales service and general attitude to customers.
