Thought I'd give this place a try last December to see if there was a better Chow Kway Teow than KL Cafe's. Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst CKT I've had in New Zealand - it was tasteless besides the lap cheong (which was too salty to eat) and the deep fried pork lard was the only ingredient that tasted good.

I love their tea and food! Reminds me my childhood in Malaysia. My favourite Wahtanhor and fried quayteau are the must! Fried rice is good too! Thanks for the nice food and tea.

4.5 stars: On 26 July 2020, my wife bought us a lunch here (again). Sorry guys, I am proud to be a “Soft-Rice Man”. She ordered “Fish Head Vermicelli”, tasted sour in a subtle way, fried fish was crispy and yummy; I ordered “Yong chow Fried Rice”, good idea to combine shrimp and chicken. My wife did not really like the vermicelli as she felt the taste was light and weak; But I enjoyed the rice. I guess this is why Chinese people say “Same rice feed hundreds of types of people”? I am not sure if she would be happy to come back again, but I do. So maybe next time I can steal her money and buy a lunch for my 16-year-old high school girlfriend?

Very cheap and generous portion of food. Yummy delicious! The restaurant looks a bit old from outside but clean inside. Slow serving speed - not recommend to go if you only have 30 minutes to have your meal. Overall, satisfied.

Generous portion for the price you pay but sadly the food lacked flavour. Had chow knew teow and nasi goreng. Enjoyed nasi goreng but wouldn't order chow keuw teow again. Friends had hainanese chicken rice, which they enjoyed.

Changed owner. Very aweful now. Went today to pick up meal, kitchen smells rotten. My takeaway food taste so oilly and my husband said noodles taste like they have been precooked and left for a looong time.
