Visited mid 90s as a teenager a couple of times, chauffeured in both times which was a nice touch, never had a personal driver, staff were somewhat friendly, the room I was given was quite small, room service was pretty bland, I did not enjoy the food! The view from the room which they call a ‘cell’ for some reason was nonexistent and on my second visit I was roughed up by a staff member with a phone book, his name was Wally Broaden I think, when I complained to the manager it just fell on deaf ears. For that reason I will not be booking another stay and I suggest you don’t either! Stay at another establishment if you can, these guys do not know how to treat guests!

Spacious cells much better than the Otara station ones. Would nice if the custody officer learnt how to heat a pie properly.

My sister went in to file a police report today because some low life had used her identity to run up debts. We were told by the collection agency to get a written police statement from the Police. Went into the station and the Maori lady behind the desk decided to yell at my sister and told her they get plenty of people coming in asking and they don't do police reports? ok - are your police stations just there for show? Get away from the front desk if you don't want to help the public. You could have been polite but instead you decided to be a horrid excuse for a cop (or whatever the hell your title is) - mall rent a cop would be more suitable!

A bully type mentality at station. NZ police are absolutely hopeless. They collect data when you are a victim and try to turn it on you rather than help you The poorest conduct of any police i have experienced inside and outside NZ are the Auckland police. Hamiltom is also poor. The bully headquarters of New Zealand police is Auckland. Welligton and Christchurch are fairly good. If there is no money in it in Auckland, the police do not help. The front desk lady was also a bully, trying to turn information on me. Its a real joke here in NZ for sure. They support drug dealers and users and excuse them who are nationals of this country even when you give them evidence. When you get sexually harassed, they say where is the evidence.you must have a video or show them something otherwise its hearsay. Its sbsolutely hopeless. The police here serve themselves and the sociopaths and narcissists who they appear to serve not the injured party or victims. They are the worst of any police i have encountered in the Western world. I am stating it publically which is my right. They will just bully more and more any chance they get. Corrupt system. The crime rates are shown as low in NZ because the police never come nor take a report for many things.

2018 the two old ladies on the front counter,no help at all for a “POLICE STATION”..I went to “MANUKAU” station and was sorted straight away!!!
