Not what it seems We spent a lot of time reviewing options for camper van hire in Hobart on the Motorhome Republic website, only to find out after we'd made our booking most of the options listed weren't available. This was confusing because we'd put in dates for travel when we were doing our search. Motorhome Republic sent us an email (and followed up with a very pleasant phone call) showing us which camper vans were available for our dates. Frustratingly, when we tried to book from this list, it said the office was closed on the date we wanted to pick it up and to revise our dates of travel. The prices also seem to have jumped much higher. In the end, we hired directly from Hertz, got exactly what we wanted and for a price about a 1/3 of what Motorhome Republic was offering for the same product. .

The website showed over twenty available vehicles. I spent an hour weighing up all the options, made a booking, spent my time organising 3rd party insurance. One hour later informed they were all sold out! If you can't even provide live availability, what's the point.

I have to say that Motorhome Republic was amazing to deal with prior to and right throughout our trip across the USA in April/May of this year! After starting our journey in Houston, and driving right through Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Georgia, myself and partner found this to be the best way to travel and can't imagine travelling any other way in the future. Thanks Motorhome Republic, we will be booking with you and you alone in the future for more amazing experiences and holidays!

In a nutshell, Motorhome Republic goes above and beyond for their customers. I was impressed with them ever since I got on their website and realized that they have excellent deals for RV Rentals. Besides of that, the rental info and conditions were very clear and transparent, even more than in the providers website. After careful consideration, I decided to rent with them. They charged me a Deposit Fee and then, a few days before my reservation, the Final Balance, as I had agreed upon reservation. However, due to COVID-19 I didn't get to travel to my destination and complete the rental. They refunded me the Final Balance right after, without any trouble or delays at all, and I took this matter as solved. However, they kept sending me emails asking me for my bank info to complete my refund, which I ignored because as for my understanding they had already paid me. A few unresponded emails later, I got I call from a kind representative from New Zealand (mind that I'm from Brazil, so for me that was really impressive) asking me if I got their e-mails because they would like to refund me. For my complete surprise, they explained me that since the Deposit Fee had been charged in a different credit card, I actually haven't had received the refund of this amount! I was really impressed how they pursued the refund to make sure that I got my money back, especially in these difficult times. In comparison with other travel agencies that I used in this same trip for other reservations, Motorhome Republic was by far the most committed with refunding me. That being sad, I for sure recommend them and will be using them again for my next RV road trip.
