Good for Asian Street food at cheap prices
Nice stopover if you are staying in the CBD area. Mostly asian food, tables out in the open and a busker singing. Tried the green mussels that were grilled on the spot with lots of garlic, you can add chilli if you wish too. Delicious and its 10 for 6 mussels. Some stalls have yakitori like grilled squid tentacles on skewer for 4 and squid body for 5, shaomai (4 for 6), xiaolong bao, korean fried chicken, spicy food, etc.
Auckland night market only has food stands and is very small. It has live music which is pretty cool. The picture basically shows how big the night market is. Pakuranga Night market is about 2-3 times the size. Having shopping and food stands. It has a flea market feel to it.
Night time food market in the shadow of the Auckland Sky Tower. Didn't realize before than all the stalls serve Asian food. It does lend to appreciating that Auckland is a diverse city. There are a lot of choices, fun to graze and try a number of different stalls. Really liked the lively and friendly atmosphere.
Good place for casual street food style of eating out. There are many food choices in one place such as; Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Philipino, French foods. Enjoy dinner with free music entertainment in open sky outdoor atmosphere. Open most Saturday from 5pm
The vibe was great. Loads of happy people, nice music but only 1 non food stall and the food stalls were selling greasy tasteless stodge. If there were more non food stalls and better quality food it would be a place to go to.
Nice market. Was busy but not packed. We were reasonably early. They can do with more seating.
