Value for the money!!!! Conveniently located to super markets, shopping, entertainment, parks and so much more. Fairies, trains, bus stations...the hostel is busy. Travelers of all ages, from every corner of the world. Free WiFi and dinner every night from 8pm to 10pm. I am told the free food is not worth it, but it’s free. Full kitchen, showers and bathrooms. Extra convenient to have pots, pans, utensils, plates and bowls. Microwave, hot pot, stovetops...plenty of everything for the crowded place. For the most part, people are friendly and courteous to one another. I have never stayed at a hostel before. It takes a bit of an adjustment to shared/community space. Can’t beat the price for such accommodations. The staffs are all helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Generally, it was ok given its affordable price. The rooms looked old even the toilet and shower. I stayed here for 2 nights and the price was worth it. The staff were very supportive and efficient in handling our request as I arrived late at night. I believe these are the aspects that can be improved: small and dirty kitchen, some guests are drunk almost every night (disturbing for other guests). Plus points for the free dinner!

Actually no star at all, if you had one night please don't choose when weekend. If you had long term that would be really horribly experienced in this hostel. Horribly noises from disco beside, Horribly about the cleanliness at level 2. Horribly smells and dark in the room at level 2. Always went down to level 1 toilet and shower. Disgusting that could said. Really sad about those when stayed too long with 2 weeks. Checked in to a bunk bed also horribly that when I got into a room, met one of girl sat on the ground said, that was the only one of you bed, all bunk bed fulled situation. When I saw that bed was without any clean and absolutely messed on that bed sheet, I got upset absolutely and was slept on that messed and dirt bed sheet about 10 days after that lucky met a empty bunk changed to a new and cleaned bunk bed. Sad also without any respectful religion to each other when stayed. 3 stars are given to those absolutely friendly staff but not this hostel absolutely.

Loved staying here! The staff were amazing so helpful with all my questions & super friendly 24/7. They are 100% what makes this hostel amazing. The kitchen is nice and big and the hot tub is such an awesome feature on the outside rooftop deck. All rooms have big drawers under the beds for your luggage etc. And the windows are all the way to ceiling in some rooms so, so much natural light. Thanks guys!

I had just arrived from 60 days in India, it was a pleasure to have stayed at nomads. I knew straight from check in that my stay was going to be great. Hannah was the first person I met , we had a great chat, I was checked in very quickly. Hannah also helped me with my travel plans for the rest of my journey as i hadn't much research done. Thanks Hannah!

LOVED IT! Staff are super helpful and friend - Toni is a little sweetheart. Location is right in the center next to bus stops and trains. Good atmosphere around the hostel. Roof top area on L7 is good place to meet friends. Housekeeping staff working all day so bathrooms, kitchen and common areas are constantly clean. Beds are actually pretty comfy. Windows open!!! Sounds crazy but at my last hostel in Auckland they didn't! THERE IS A HOT TUB!

Really enjoyed my time in this hostel, all staff were very welcoming. I dealt with Toni a lot who was super friendly. The hostel itself is an older building but it is kept in good enough condition. The rooms are nice and clean, bathrooms could do with some TLC but when i was there i did see the team cleaning them twice a day which is nice to see. Good Location in central Auckland. Well worth the money.

If you are looking for a place to stay while experiencing a unique trip through New Zealand as a backpacker, Nomads is the way to go! The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful as well. You even get the opportunity to plan your whole traveling experience by booking the right bus trip that perfectly fits your style and desires. The best thing about Nomads is it's location. There are banks and supermarkets only a few steps away which is very handy. You will meet a lot of new people from tons of different places too. However, the rooms are very small and there are no chairs at all.. Your sleep in this hostel can be a little rough as well because the beds are uncomfortable and the windows do not work (no fresh air). Overall an accommodation I can recommend for people who want to travel on a budget and need a decent place to start there NZ experience in Auckland. But don't expect to get very much for your money, that is not the case.
