We had a great surf lesson with Felipe at Piha Surf Academy. There was just the three of us in the lesson and all of us caught the first wave we tried to catch! We even got some green waves in our first lesson. I really enjoyed the whole experience and the coaching from Felipe was fantastic. We were given a clear safety briefing on the shore and easy-to-remember instructions for how to catch our first wave. Can't wait for the next lesson!

I just wanted to say a big thanks for this morning. I loved the small group of 3, the slow start and Felipe was wonderful with my 9yo. He made her feel really secure and didn't play into her fears. Encouraging but not pushy and when she packed up early he bodysurfed with her instead. Hero! And she had a great time, was all smiles and can't wait to return. ️

I bought a 3 back of private lessons but loved it so much I fit one more lesson into my trip! Alex, my instructor was very helpful. We started each lesson going over safety which helped with my confidence in the water. I would definitely do again!

Excellent experience. I’ve never surfed before in my life and the instructors were absolutely fabulous and also very patient. The team are lovely and the lessons are suitable for all ages. By the end of the lesson, I was able to stand on my board and surf the (small) waves. My Parnter and I got our vouchers from GrabOne - Such a good value for money! I would highly recommend the Piha Surf Academy for anyone who hasn’t tried surfing and also it is a must do activity if you are on holidays visiting in the area. There’s a lovely little restaurant just a few steps away to grab food straight after too. Thanks again, we’ll definitely be back!! Leanne & Will.
