Wow. This place is just WOW. I am usually not that big fan of fish and chips but this place has changed my mind and thought about fish and chips a lot. It has a small place for people to dine in, but I strongly recommend to take foods away! You can get fish and chips only for 10 bucks! It was so crispy and yummy. I was given a big piece of lemon as well as tartare sauce and tomato sauce with fish and chips. If I have a chance and I have to choose the best fish and chips, I will pick here to go again.

Have to change my review from a year ago. I think the old sea cow has been sold and has a new owner. Unfortunately it looks like the quality has gone by the wayside. Use to be my favorite. Everything from the salad to fish isn't good anymore. Use to be super fresh and clean. Salad was amazing a year ago.

The fish and chips are the best I've had in Auckland. Go with the battered version, snapper or market fish if it's a good one. The tartar sauce they serve in house is better than the take away version. Takeaway is a slightly smaller portions as well but cheaper. Service could be slightly more cheery.

This is no longer Sea Cow. Owner has sold the business to Ocean Seafood. Drove all the way to my favourite fish and chips restaurant and was totally disappointed. Nothing like the original Sea Cow.
