I purchased tickets for our last travel. (We use Sky Bus service almost every time we travel) When I found out that we had an early morning flight out of Auckland and a late night flight back to Auckland, I emailed Sky Bus on 23/1/2021explaining what had happened. Sky Bus pick up times at our stop was 5:53am and the last bus from the domestic terminal was 9:05pm. We couldn’t make it in time for our departure and our arrival was long after the last bus had left. In my email I asked for a refund as we aren’t hoping to travel in the near future with the Covid situation and it made no sense to hold on to a ticket expiring in April 2021. I didn’t hear from Sky Bus until 5/2/2021. That was after two follow up calls and a second email. Finally I had an email saying no refund was possible as to the the so called senior management and their no refund policy. I was told to email them closer to expiry to see if any changes were made to the refund policy or just have to bare the lose. The agent ended the email saying we look forward to having you onboard again. Not sure we’d want to use their service again. Not after they valued 64 on top of doing the right thing, helping a customer out and retaining them. Not when the charge of an Uber, Ola or DiDi is a few on top of the bus fare. (I mean a door to door service is better isn’t it?) I get that I made a mistake but shouldn’t there have been empathy? A proper assessment? Exceptions? How tight as a company would you have to be to choose 64 over a returning customer? Just utterly disappointed with the outcome and how companies treat customers nowadays.

I took the Skybus service from AKL domestic to downtown in mid October. I tried to purchase a ticket on the bus. The driver swiped my card but no ticket. He went to a ticket machine and swiped my card again. This time a ticket. He suggested it probably took two payments - he was correct. 2 days later I did as instructed on the website and emailed a claim for a refund providing both copies of my ticket and bank statement. Nothing, not even a confirmation of receipt. A month later I re-email attaching original docs. Nothing not even a confirmation of receipt. A further month later I call and am asked to re-email. Nothing, not even a confirmation of receipt. Two weeks later an email response. Then a series of emails with their call centre where a) they provide me with an Aussie number to call from NZ, b) then provide an NZ number but the person who I need to deal with is not available that day - having just emailed me moments before. This is farcical. Over 2 months to get a refund caused by their equipment failure. Choose the alternative bus.

Cash only, no eftpos even though they have a machine, notice saying to improve our services we are dropping the dominion road route. Obviously couldn’t give a hoot about service, all about money. Total disgrace, bring on light rail to airport and then we’ll see the back of these muppets

Quick and cheap service to the airport. Used this service to and from the airport and would use it again.

Excellent and reliable. Buses towards Auckland City run 24/7, were fairly frequent even in the wee hours of the morning. Pay with card at machines, or cash at the stand. Free WiFi available on board. Clear details and indication given for the right stops to get off.

SkyBus's are being used as a rail replacement bus for the Eastern Line Trains at the moment. I caught this bus at Panmure this morning. The bus was absolutely freezing. The driver was told but he did nothing. The driver also had Indian music playing loud, which was annoying and unprofessional.
