We love their food and have picked up from there often. But we went there yesterday evening with friends for the first time to dine in. It's was relatively empty with only few tables occupied. We ordered few dishes and waited. After 45 minutes of waiting I asked the manager/front of house will it take long. To this he replied "are you in a rush" I said we ordered 45 minutes back to that he said let me check. He then comes back and says your food will take 5 more minutes are you OK to wait. No apologies, no sorry, not a hint of anything rather arrogance. We waited and were served our food exactly after 52 minutes of us entering the restaurant. The lady who brought it I think is the chef and the owner as well. She was so nice, smiling and talking so nicely. Yet no apologies from anyone on the delay as if it is normal to wait for your food for 1 hr. I still believe their food is good. But we will never go their again. If they need to survive and succeed they need to immediately change their manager and front of house and get some training on empathy and customer service.

The food was just average, lack of meat (literally 4 pieces) in the butter chicken overloaded with gravy. Definitely not a place I'll be going back to.

Went there expecting their old south Indian menu. Was pretty disappointed to see that they have revamped totally and changed the menu. Porotta Beef curry was the only Kerala dish in menu. Both were strictly average. Interior and ambience is good though.

Loved the Malabar beef fry, Malabar briyani and fish molli.. friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Will definitely visit again..

Instant response for a fake review. Now the true story. My mate ordered South Indian porota nd beef from you which ws terrible. He put a negative review but you dint care to respond. So our buddy Agile put a fake review to check if you genuinely ignore 1 star ratings. Congrats. You just took the bait. Find some time to rey to customer concerns, just like you reply to fake reviews.

Amazing place with amazing food. It's by far the second best place in Auckland for indian food. A bit pricy but for such tasty food it's worth it. Great staff. Just a suggestion why are you guys not on Uber eats?? It's easy to order food from there as compared to menu log.

Overpriced stuff. Food not all worth the money. Ordered fried rice coz I liked the one that I ordered Abt 4 months ago from taj malabar. This time it was horrible and the chicken pieces tasted sour. Not again from this place
