We are the regulars of the don. We really like the food. But the reason I give them this five stars is their practices in reaction to COVID-19. They actively prevent the lockdown again by instruct yoy to scan qr code. Keep the tables seperated. And every staff is wearing a mask. It makes you feel safe to eat here!

We asked a waiter for a vegan menu and we ordered a few vegan dishes from it. The veggie don I ordered had some mayonnaise on it so we asked a front stuff if it’s vegan mayo. He went to ask the chef and came back to us said yes it is vegan mayonnaise. However, after 10min he came back to our table and told us it’s actually gluten free, not vegan. He took my bowl to take it out but I could see some still on the rice. My partner who is also vegan and allergic to eggs ordered Tofu don. He found heaps of mayonnaise bottom of his bowl so he left 80% of it. He was worried that if he will have a reaction after that. I think all the stuff should educate themselves about what vegan food are. I felt like they didn’t take it serious. We were very disappointed what we experienced today.
Lovely little place. Perfect serving size and delicious. My husbands meal lacked flavour (egg chicken katsu) but he still ate it and just used some of my meat to flavour it. What you would expect to pay price wise. Definitely be going back again
The Don is fantastic. Very delicious meals and great value. They have a large menu and lunch specials for groups. What's also nice is the little call button on the table you can use to call if you require any service. They can get busy around lunch time but I've never had to wait for a table or long for the meal. I just keep coming back for more hear, too tasty to pass up!

Super cool little Japanese restaurant. Lovely helpful staff and happy to cater to bigger groups. The food was delicious and came out pretty quick! Their cocktail specials were yum too. Would definitely come back
I have been a regular customer with at least visit this restaurant three times a month since 2015. They serve tasty and fresh food most of the time which I’m quite satisfied with but the customer service I received today disappointed me and made me deciding not to visit the place anymore. Most of the waiters I’ve met are nice and polite. I wouldn’t say that I don’t recommend this restaurant. Personally, I’m not going to dine in anymore. I’d rather pay a higher price in other Japanese restaurants to have the same quality of food but receive a better customer service.
Amazing food and atmosphere, great place to chill out with friends and have a few drinks.
