Only got a one because there is no option for a zero. This place is by far the worst cafe in Titirangi. Please do yourself a favour and pick any other place so you actually enjoy yourself and your meal. The service here is appalling. My friend and I went today and sat outside at a table filled with dirty dishes because I had my dogs with me and had to be outside. "No problem" we thought "surely they'll be right out to tidy it up for us". We left 20 mins later and the dishes were still there. Not one person ever came to clear anything. See the pic- it was taken as we left. After my friend ordered his food, I went in to order mine. I waited in line and when I got to the register the lady completely ignored me and started taking the order from the man behind me. She was so rude and was not even apologetic about it. Then once I tried to order something from the menu she then tells me "oh that's too hard, it take too long, it's too busy". So she refused to let me order something she had written on her blackboard right behind me. If you can't be bothered making something then please don't have it on your menu! I literally told her to forget it and left. I am a local and will NEVER come back to this abomination of a cafe. Please do yourself a favour and skip this place. There are so many other amazing options in the area anyways.

At least a 50 wait for food no communication until 40min in to the wait. Tables not cleared and staff not very welcoming.
In Titirangi your very lucky to have 3 good choices of cafe's. This is one of them. If the others are too busy this is a good one to get what you need. I only generally get take out coffee from here as I'm normally on my way to a trek out west. They're very quick to serve you which is good.
We get coffee everyday from The Fringe as so love the coffee and friendly owners who really appreciate their customers. They give a free muffin with every hot drink. Plus, the best scones in Auckland are here. I especially love my Date scone, warm with butter. The fireplace is at the back, so perfect for cold winter days looking out over the trees and Manukau Harbour.
Really nice inexpensive food, friendly staff and relaxed environs. Certainly not a trendy cafe, more of a laid back local. Beer and wine available! Stupid me left my wallet behind the other day and they returned it to me undisturbed with cash still in it - so they are honest as well. The cabinet is full of yummy options. The Steak pie has a crispy crust and pastie style veggies plus a big hunk of roast steak inside yum.
When in Auckland/Titirangi for Te Uru gallery down the road this is my go to spot for reasonable price light lunch or coffee & cake. Other places are too full on in terms of food AND price. It also has one of the best bush greenery views anywhere, not to mention the view of chooks down below. Coffee & food all good and they are open til evening as well, so no shot up shop at 4pm like a lot of places.
Really good food and super friendly service from the owner and manager Woody. They make really good flat whites and I also love the Linzer tort. Even the bacon and eggs on toast is a cut above the standard cafe, with a side of mushroom and salad. I go here regularly and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
I often come here and enjoy large flat white with dates scone. The view is so nice too. A mum takes her cute daughter to this cafe every Monday for breakfast and Friday for lunch. So, I changed the title from "Fringe Cafe" to " Mum and daughter's Cafe", I love you both :)
