Great Finger Food with lots of fun! I would highly recommend this place as I use to work across the road. Parking isn't tricky and free after 6pm. Fun Asian fusion with me eating all my verges as well. Came with my family, nice clean environment, friendly staff and great tasting water my wife thought. Would go again soon! Thanks Tucks and Bao! There were lots of options, we enjoyed the variety of foods and ended up ordering for more. It didn't take that long for our foods to arrive. Staff was friendly and attentive.

I'm afraid to say, we were disappointed with the taste and quality of the food after getting Tucks & Bao last week. We ordered the bao burger and chicken "poke bowl" which did not resemble a poke bowl - oddly flavoured fried chicken with slaw (labelled "salad") on rice and the only taste I got from this dish was hoisin sauce. There were no other poke bowl elements. The Bao-ger was not bad, but not tasty or memorable. I do see the positive reviews on here, so I'm led to believe that perhaps we just had an "off" experience. Two stars because it wasn't terrible but definitely room for improvement.

My family and I had the privilege to have booked out the courtyard for a gender reveal. Was a beautiful experience. The food was amazing. Myself and my partner ordered the low and slow belly bao lunch deal for 15 and definitely left us feeling full. Everything was flavourful and the portions were just right! We ordered a range of platters, beverages, chicken wings were super yum!! Kids meals are filling also. Reasonably priced and no hire fee to book private! I had family running late to the event but it was no hassle at all to extend the time which took a lot of stress away. Communication was spot on and wasn’t a hassle to book!! They also cleaned up our confetti canon mess prior to me arranging that we would clean up! Awesome experience, Lovely customer service and delightful food. my family loved it and will definitely be back again. Thank you tucks and bao for the lovely evening.

Sadly my latest 2 visits/orders at Newmarket branch were no good! I used to buy frequently the loaded fries they have and was the best one ever! Fresh, tasty and a perfect treat for us! Told all my friends about it throughout the last year recommending the place. Couple months ago I ordered my fav fries so my friends could try it and we were so disappointed! I felt so embarrassed after making such a big propaganda about the best loaded fries ever! Newmarket branch decided to change the skinny fries for thick fries, not enough pork and the taste was very funny. The worst was to come: when I told them about it, other than apologising about changing the recipe without informing it, he simply said: that’s how we will do from now on and make a complaint if you would like to have your money back. Lucky me Takapuna has better customer service and hasn’t changed their recipe! I would recommend Takapuna for anybody trying to have the best fries ever!

Advised 45 minute wait for food as they only have 1 chef. Half full restaurant including table of 12. Feel sorry for the chef. We left, not wanting to contribute to their stress..
