Staff at the counter were friendly and quick at their job. Very efficient. Inspector was not as impressive. Barely acknowledged me and was complaining to the counter staff about something at the same time as giving me my report. Still better than dealing with a garage though.

this branch is near my place so I came here to take my theory test, but staff here are poor in customer service while we were explaining to one staff at the counter name Nicollete about what happened the day before and she interrupted with a tone “well I was not here yesterday”...she needs training.. so we pulled out and told her we will go to AA instead to take the theory test..and we never come back!
Walked in the door at 3.55pm to get my personalized plates swapped off my car so I could sell it and was told they can't do it today as it would take too long and take them past 4pm. They were already all packed up but the door was still wide open. Apparently working a few extra minutes to assist a paying customer is too difficult. Having been through this process many times before with previous cars I know it only takes 5 minutes max to swap plates. Judging from other reviews here it seems that bad customer service is the name of the game at this branch.
I went to take my practical driving test on the 16 Jan, the lady instructor was very professional, gave in detail pretest information which was quite easy to understand. Ensured that I was at my ease while driving. After the test informed me her analysis of my driving during the test which was pitch perfect. Would surely recommended VTNZ to anyone who want to appear for a practical driving test.
Came for a theory test, the lady was very nice and booked us in last minute. It was quite busy and we were seen as fast as possible
Visited place for WOF when first lockdown imposed last year. I had letter showing I am essential worker but the guy who was in charge didnt believe it. I had to email my manager proof that I am essetial worker and had to wait for an hour to reply.. This man was so rude and arrogant from when I visted this place. This reminds me as my wof is up soon and had to leave review 1 star rate. I will never goto this place ever again for sevice my vehicle.
Office fine. Inspectors average. Slow and almost rude. I was in the car lane assuming that they didn't have all the equipment to check cars in the recheck/trailer lane. Turns out its because that they can't make the turn at the end of the inspection lane with my trailer on... sorry, I didn't know. Its only a 4x7 having just been to the dump and on way home. I had to unhitch the trailer and weave my way through the queue to hitch it up again once car complete. Finally failed my car on a bushing that's been a recurring note for 3 years and my mechanic has looked at it and says it's totally fine. They missed the noisy sway bar links though even after I pointed out the clunking noise. Unless a control arm bush can be mistaken for SBL... I think our relationship may be over now. Not cheap, not skilled and often forget that these people with the cars, vans, trucks... hell even trailers are your customers.
The slowest WOF process on planet earth. Took about 3 hours to get a check on a weekday and then another good 1.5 hours for someone to simply pull up my hand brake and confirm it had been tightened (even after presenting a mechanics receipt with a description of the works from that morning).
