Overall, it was a good experience. The vehicle was in great condition and was a pleasure to drive. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly at every interaction. We are a family of 4 with children 3 and 9. And hired the Koru Star 4 Freedom van. I think that the design of the vehicle makes the most of the space, but unfortunately the bed is a bit too short for me (187cm) but would suit shorter people fine. Also the upper bed was a bit longer so for different groups this may not have caused any discomfort. Also, there is limited storage for clothes and equipment in this layout, but plenty of room for food and kitchenware. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to drive and manoeuvre the van. You really were not aware of the length or height at all. There was some effort needed to find suitable parking, but I did not struggle at all but would not want to try taking it into a big city... still that is not really a common destination when campervanning so not really an issue! There were only a few things which mean that I can't give 5 stars. The vehicle was not ready despite the fact we arrived to collect it over an hour after it was requested. I do understand it was a busy day, but still not really good enough. The result of this was our departure was delayed and the vehicle was missing some supplies. No cleaning products (brush, dish washing items etc.) Also, the briefing was rushed meaning I had to call support for extra help. (This service was extremely good and answered my questions and resolved the problem in short order). The TV did not work, which was not a problem for us but might have been a problem if the weather had turned bad. Finally the power cable was far too short as it was barely longer than the vehicle which meant I had to swap with a Britz van in order to get power and a view. Personally I think we will look at a wider design next time around but would be happy to consider using Wenderkreisen again. Thanks!

Excellent service from start to a last minute, late finish! Read everything in detail. There are then no surprises and actually some extra benefits. We booked late and while the van we reserved was unavailable we were offered a discount on a larger vehicle which proved ideal. The team complements the mood of your vacation. The responsibilities need to be planned into your itinerary and research is easy if you don’t leave it until the last minute. The vehicle was well prepared, really well fitted out, we could have taken less with us as a result. Didn’t know we could have left our car or arranged a late checkin and dropped the extra day. Lesson learned and this will make it even better value and experience. Really professional, friendly crew.

Our 30th wedding anniversary, so my husband and I decided to spend 10 days exploring the top of the North Island for the first time in a camper. We selected the 6 berth for extra room. The professional manner by all staff gave us confidence and had everything explained in easy terms to have a full understanding. The van was spotlessly clean as too was the linen (i am fussy) the van was easy to drive. We drove almost 2thousand k's, without any issues. We highly recommend this company, the staff and vehicles to all......we will definitely be back for another camper/holiday. Thankyou all so much for such wonderful service AAA

Long-term rental for three weeks with Wenderkreisen, was a positive experience overall. The stuff was friendly and helpful. The van was fairly well maintained and well-equipped with everything a traveler would need. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.
