Good authentic Chinese restaurant with great food and beautiful Chinese style deco. Tried the Pecking duck set, very authentic and tasty. I would say one of the best Pecking ducks in Auckland. Also recommend the crabs. Love the food presentations and high quality service.

Great food, atmosphere and service. We came here for my birthday the other day for the 3rd time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Again, beautifully cooked, well presented and served by pleasant friendly staff. We had Peking duck as they recommended. What a fantastic dining experience with awesome food, we would highly recommend 5 stars. We will be back and recommend wholeheartedly.
For the taste, I wish there can be some negative choices, 2 stars just for the friendly stuff. A group 6 of us went there for dinner, I don’t mind if the restaurant want to be exclusive that put ring bell on the door, or at least pretend to be, make the whole idea integrated; it turns out the bathroom was totally missed up, water and hand washer liquid splashed everywhere around the sink and mirror. Brooms just lay in the corner within eyes could see. Ok I don’t want too picky. When we finally got our dishes ready, I wouldn’t say bad, but you can find more than hundred Chinese restaurants around AKl better than here. WARNING, don’t not ever never try the braise pork with sea cucumber, the sea cucumber is bitter, the meat is like chowing the meat from zombies, I am using the word”chowing”, which I shouldn’t use it refer to a famous traditional Chinese dish. But trust me, the meat stuck in your teeth. Conclusion: highly do not recommend!
Zen E is our go-to for Peking Duck!!! We usually order the one set (68).It includes a whole Peking duck and duck soup. The duck was delicious and the skin is crispy. Service wise, the staff quickly attended to every request and were happy to help our huge family at all times. The ambience and decor of the restaurant was also quite appealing.
Great for large groups who are hungry for good food. I came here a month ago with my company colleagues, and the food had been on my mind since the food here literally blew us away!! The food came out very quickly and all was delicious. It was all of a very high standard and good service. Would recommend the braised pork with vegetable and Peking duck. Fabulous!!!
The sweet and sour fish was my fav. It just looks so stunning! It’s going to be my top 1 choice. And I will definitely come for it again. The roasted duck also tasted REALLY good, crispy indeed! Overall, highly recommend, especially for celebrating special days.
Amazing food. They really have an eye for detail and taste. Highly recommended if your a lover of Chinese food or want to try something new! Super friendly staff, and very nice location.
Food was really good!! would def come back again for sure. The highlights of our meal were peaking duck, sweet & sour fish and their famous braised pork.
