Always get a great long black coffee! Good range of gluten free good in the cabinet. Can get busy but it's the only cafe I will go to now for my lunch hour.

Recommend Cafe 55. Tasty food. Great coffee. Located on mainstreet. Have been here more than once. A must do in Balclutha.

Stopped in here for brunch on the big drive to Christchurch. My 3 standouts 1 - The banana bread french toast with extras. A great spin on a classic and I always love a new brunch option to try. 2 - Comfortable interior, plenty of seating. 3 - Great South Otago service. Love small town friendliness and this place had it. Observations: Regret not buying an cinnamon oyster (a great kiwi classic) and I notice it was a popular choice. I think this decision will keep me awake over the next few nights. Liked the interior, nice dark wall and wood interior

I'd give it a solid 2.5 to 3. Nice and busy, using L'farre. There are no real options in the area. This is probably the best pick for sure. Friendly service.
