This is our second stay at Braemar, first time was a few years ago. There's a lovely sense of calm as soon as you walk in. We were there during covid-19 level two, so the restaurant was only open for room service but that ended up being a lovely way to spend our honeymoon, with a lovely three course in room meal. The rooms are really large, has a great gas fire and air conditioning if it gets too warm. The outside spa bath had water that smelled a bit, so we talked to the staff and it was changed when our room was tidied. Maybe the water needs to be changed more frequently as they are small spas, but great for two people. It doesn't quite have the same polished and feeling of calm that it did a few years ago, but it's still so lovely, and I may be looking back at our previous visit with rose tinted lenses. We'll definitely be back another time!

Excellent hotel with amazing location and SPECTACULAR VIEWS. Clean, comfortable and very well managed. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff. A cot was arranged before arrival as requested while booking. The room was huge and comfortable. Food at the restaurant was delicious with great service from the wait staff. Outdoor spa at midnight overlooking the stars was a wonderfully relaxing experience. Would definitely recommend and love to stay again.
We loved our stay here. The room was large and beautifully decorated. The art work was reflected in the furnishings as well. We had the tui room. Beautiful big bathroom with spa bath and spa pool outside. Very private and romantic. A great place for a special getaway. Meals in the restaurant were superb. We highly rate the chef. Cuisine service great too.
I am giving this a 2 star as the service was not 5 star. The room was definitely a good size but as for cleaning not very clean . But what toped it off for this review was that we went to use the spa pool and it was very slimy and the water didn't look like it had been changed for a few days . And then the next option was the spa bath we filled that up and there was what looked to be dead skin floating around. The outside was a mess and over grown. The breakfast was cold was not happy buying my misses a gift voucher for us here after know knowing what it was like. There is definitely potential here but unfortunately your staff are not giving it out.
The lodge is beautifully laid out with sweeping views of the mountains across the valley. Hanmer Springs is a short 5km drive away and this worked perfectly for us as we were looking at a place to relax. We stayed in the Galleria Suite which is the more private end of the lodge. The suite itself is very well appointed with a fairly large room which featured a super king bed, dining table, lounge with a gas fire and a large screen TV. We also had a 2 person spa bath as well as an outdoor spa on the desk area which we thoroughly enjoyed. The resort features a beautiful lounge/library area which leads into the bar/restaurant area. The food was absolutely divine and service in the restaurant was very good. The front of house service was efficient and pleasant. The only thing which makes this review a 4 star instead of 5 is two things. The first being that they don't offer any lunch service so if you're just wanting to have a lazy day you need to go and grab food from elsewhere. And the second being the 4pm check in time which seems a little late.
We had a nice big room but for the price expected it to be in better order. There were parts broken on the shower and the spa. Also they had a notice that the tap water wasn't drinkable but didn't provide any drinking water in the room we had to go up to reception each time we wanted more drinking water.
Had a great stay for my birthday. Amazing food, service, views and relaxed modern atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone with the money.
Huge, well appointed room with private spa tub on the patio. Views across the basin when clear. Food in restaurant for breakfast and dinner was delicious and overall good value for money with the Grabone deal we used. 4 stars as a couple of minor issues during our stay which we expected slightly better of for luxury accommodation, even if paying on a deal.
