Great location and well set up for kids and families. Can be a bit chilly but the range of activities and value for money more than make up for it.

Huge number of options for bunking, camping, and hiking. It now has its own modern tramping hut further up the valley.

Rustic and rough, but thats the charm and its refreshing and great getting back to nature.. looking forward to our next visit very soon.

Great facilities & beautiful grounds. Reasonable pricing. Lovely walks. Extremely cold block units in late September 2018 while I was there. Have wall heaters in them but they're on timers (of course) & in very cold weather that's not enough through the night. So take extra warm bedding, a hottie, a beanie & you'll be fine. Christina
