Top notch coffee here. Better than most places in Auckland. Smooth and velvety, worth the detour for the coffee alone. I haven’t even eaten the food yet, but if the coffee is this good I have sky high hopes for the food. If you are a coffee connoisseur, this place is a must. The food was as amazing as the coffee. I’ve found a new place to dine at. Great food service and coffee

We stopped by for a quick bite before heading up the Pinnacles track. The street was quite busy so it was hard to find parking near the cafe. We parked a bit down the road and walked down. The cafe is quite large. There is a large table by the entrance as well as a large dining area by the counter. There was also a fairly large outdoor seating area around the back. The Cafe is connected to a small alley with a few shops. They don't have Wifi. They have a menu as well as cabinet food. The tasting platter did look interesting but ended up going with an almond croissant with an iced chocolate. You order at the counter and the food gets served to you. Both items were quite nice. The Iced chocolate also had a scoop of ice cream and cream. The almond croissant was heated well so it was still crunchy. You had options of cream or yoghurt to go with it. A friend got a bowl of chips and they were nice and crisp, served with both aioli and tomato sauce. The outdoor area was quite a nice place to sit, surrounded by plants.
I visited the cafe a few years ago for breakfast which I really enjoyed so when I was back in Thames I was looking forward in returning here but this time for lunch. We got soup of the day and fried chicken burger and chips with a hot chocolate and ice chocolate. We both enjoyed our food and this cafe certainly has not lost its charm. I highly recommend coming stoping off here if your in the area.
Overall good. A great cafe in Thames. We went in due to the high popularity on Google review. Some shops inside the cafe but no one buys anything while we were in there. Economy goes down while house ing prices go up. Strange.
A good place to catch up with friends and family. Unobtrusive, friendly staff serve good food and coffee etc. Recommended
Absolutely loved it. Thought we would choose our lunch destination based on star reviews and this place did not disappoint. Food and service were on point. Plant shop right next to it was an awesome bonus. We'll be back for sure
