Rented a F800GS from NZ Motorbikes / Christchurch in November. During the preparation of the trip we communicated very efficient to get all the details and T&C sorted out. Once arrived hand-over was smooth. The bike and other equipment was all in excellent condition and soon I got on my way and truly enjoyed the beauty of NZ. Though 5 days is not long, it was good enough to have a reason to come back. Would use NZ Motorbikes again

Had a fantastic trip touring the South Island of NZ on our Suzuki SV650. Wonderful country with so much to offer, and no better way of seeing it than on a bike! The support during the booking process from Kerilee and drop off with Bjorn at NZ Motorbikes was first class. Being a start up, the bikes and gear are new and of excellent quality, and I’d also found NZ Motorbikes to be more reasonably priced than the competitors I had enquired with. Look forward to booking the next trip on the GS1200!

I rented a Suzuki SV650ABS with NZ Motorbikes for an a little over 7 days and ended up extending my trip for a full month of travel. Kerilee was amazing to work with in setting up my rental and their rates were very competitive for the long-term rental. The bike performed great during my trip and the luggage setup was perfect for carrying exactly what I needed for the motorcycle camping trip. Two hard side cases and a hard top case, as well as included TomTom40 GPS. I had an amazing trip!

Overall Experience was awesome! I love NZ and especially touring around the north and south island on motorcycles with my dad, such a great time amazing scenery! I really like NZ Motorbikes as a company they offer the full package. Modern bikes, sat-nav, helmet, gloves, clothing, camping equipment, trip advice. My only criticism is the safety of the bikes as my front break calliper came off at 100km/h! It could have been so much worse if i had been cornering etc or didn’t feel a slight tapping in the handlebars and pull over. The bike was not checked properly. I have attached pictures from day one showing one bolt missing from the calliper, i rode for 2000km like this I guess it’s easily missed until its to late. NZM handled it as well as possible i guess having it checked, fixed and back on the road to complete our trip to Aukland. I hope in the future they check the bikes better before hiring out! They also didnt charge for a damaged break lever but never contacted me again or returned my messages to ask what happened and was awkward when returning the bikes. I would also say that customer service was not the best. Geoff seemed un interested and was confusing with different quotes showing different seasonal discounts then went on holiday and left me waiting and chasing him for replies. He seemed to busy all the time.

Our group hired bmw800’s. A day prior we were advised there was a bike short so someone would have to opt for a GS750. Nice bike but we did book months in advance. We had in general a Good experience if no roadside issues occurred which Unfortunately I had after only two hours travel, the operations manager was supportive after numerous calls and drove out to swop bikes . My only real option was to move to a much smaller bike . i Requested a refund for the difference after the tour and 7 bum numbing days on a 650 LAMS bike which was rejected , which I found personally disappointing. So in summary, good operations, well maintained bikes and good logistics but after sales customer service if there is an issue was not what I would expect.

I rented a BMW 1200GS WC at the NZ Motorbike Christchurch depot. A few weeks before the road trip on the south island, I contacted NZ Motorbikes to get a quote. The support during the booking process was great and fast. The motorbike was clean and in good condition. In the top box there was a tyre reparation kit. This is something I have never seen before. Top box and side panniers were included in the price and even the GPS which is, beleive me, not very common. Another cool thing is that they provide a free shuttle at the airport and also a luggage storage. Last but not least, riding on the south island was fantastic. Hey bikers, if you never did it, do not hesitate to put that in your "list of thing to not miss". One day, if I decide to ride on the north island I will definitely use reuse the services of NZ Motobikes.

Hired the Syder Can-Am for the weekend. Great team to deal with, everything very clear up front. Had a small issue and they worked with us to resolve it immediately. Would recommend them to anyone :)
